What do you want your last meal to be?

View 503 Answers

This one got my attention, probably because I'm STARVING.
My last meal:
London Broil (Cooked my Grandma's way just Salt Pepper and Garlic in the broiler) Rare VERY rare like BLEEDING into... My mom's homemade mashed potatoes a little lumpy with Sour Cream.
My cousin's Mac and Cheese with Tunafish.
Steamed veggies with lemon.
Then Ben and Jerry's Cookie Dough icecream over a giant hot brownie
And an Iced Chai from "The Bean"

I feel like I fell off the face of the planet for a while it's been a hectic few weeks.    I still have a TON of stuff to do at home.

The FREAKING AMAZING news, is that I got the position I really wanted 3 days after my graduation.  I'm going to be a Day Habilitation Specialist for adults with learning disabilities and other mental illness.  I interned for a while at the place I'll be working and I just had to get the job there.  I'm BEYOND thrilled.

My best friend got married this past Sunday morning.  She looked gorgeous, she wrote the entire ceremony herself and it was amazing.  It's been a couple of weeks of nonstop happy but very busy.

I'm hoping now that my schedule will be a little more regular, and I won't have 10 page papers every 2 weeks, maybe I'll actually have time to flesh out the bits and pieces of fic I've been writing down every time they pop into my head.
I've actually got 2 fighting for my attention but the Vamp!Hermione really started out as a sleep deprived joke and just went too far... and I'm not sure I could pull off something that would require extreme dedication to being very dark and sinister.  I don't think I can do it with out throwing in some ridiculous, back handed, dig at Twilight ... I'm too sarcastic for my own good.

Well it's time to leave work now and have a few Sam Adams' with my Hunny.   You'll be hearing from me sooner than you want :D

Your result for The Brutally Honest Personality Test...

Pollyanna- INFP

47% Extraversion, 53% Intuition, 33% Thinking, 47% Judging

So, you want to make the world a better place? Too bad it's never gonna happen.

Of all the types, you have to be one of the hardest to find fault in. You have a selfless and caring nature. You're a good listener and someone who wants to avoid conflict. You genuinely desire to do good.

Of course, these all add up to an incredibly overpowered conscience which makes you feel guilty and responsible when anything goes wrong. Of course, it MUST be your fault EVERYTIME.

Though you're constantly on a mission to find the truth, you have no use for hard facts and logic, which is a source of great confusion for those of us with brains. Despite this, in a losing argument, you're not above spouting off inaccurate fact after fact in an effort to protect your precious values.

You're most probably a perfectionist, which in this case, is a bad thing. Any group work is destined to fail because of your incredibly high standards.

Disregard what I said before. You're just easy to find fault in as everyone else!

Luckily, you're generally very hard on yourself, meaning I don't need to waste my precious time insulting you. Instead, just find all your own faults and insult yourself.

There was no sting of her nails on his shoulders, no whimpers, no moans. Something was wrong. Draco halted his ministrations on her thighs and lifted his eyes to glance up into hers. “Are you alright, Love?”

Hermione’s eyes were on the ceiling, a concerned look on her face, “What? Oh yes, it’s just there’s a crack in the ceiling... Have you ever noticed it?”

“No I can’t say that I have. Typically, when I’m on my back with my eyes open I can find much more enticing things to look at.” He replied, running a long thin finger over her stomach.

Hermione giggled and lowered her gaze to meet molten silver that flashed with just a tinge of frustration. “Oh Draco I’m sorry. It just caught my line of sight, and you know how I get...” She ran a hand through his short tousled hair, closed her eyes, and relished the sensation of his warm breath on her legs.

Just when Draco thought he’d regained her attention, her writhing movements and keening moans wavered. He felt her hand still its movements and loosen in his hair. He peered up at her, only to find her eyes focused on the ceiling, frowning and worrying her bottom lip. “Not again.” He groaned, pulling himself up her body.

“It’s just so obvious.” She pouted.

Draco huffed and reached over to the bedside table. He grabbed his wand, flicked his wrist at the ceiling, and looked back at her. “Better?”

“Yes, much better, Love. Now where were we…?” Her voice was seductive and playful as she pulled him in close to nip at his neck. When she received no response, she raised an eyebrow, noticing his eyes were studying something behind her. “Draco?”

“Did you ever notice that the wallpaper doesn’t line up?”

Harry Potter Fanfiction came pretty naturally to me, I read Harry Potter, I read HPFF... it's a natural progression.  I've branched out from my normal Dramione-centric reading as of late and that worked out well I now <3 Harry/Hermione, and Rose/Scorpius, Seamus/Hermione (which there isn't much of)... etc...
I wanted to be the super explorer and search not just HP but other Fandoms too.  TV fandoms stuff I normally watch but now want to read (I did try One Tree Hill once but I think I just got a shitty author and didn't have a ton of patience at the time) ...

Skip to me on FF.net (just because it's a wide variety of Fandoms and I'd have access to everything at once for my original search)  Catagories : Books...  oops I mean   TV shows.    H... ugh no N.    NCIS (my current favorite TV show cuz it's cute and there's a whole lot of funny banter,  and I haven't seen every episode a million times yet.)    Thinking to myself hmmm who's got some tension .... Ziva/Tony... nah too obvious... Abby/McGee...  also too obvious...   AHHH Gibbs/Abby (Refered to in their Fdom as 'Gabby').... Search.... find an interesting summary... read through decently written story, believable plot and people, then squick through smutty scenes... OOOOOOOOOOKKKKKKKKKKK so not my thing.  I do not squick smut... it can't be the Age difference because Snape Hermione is OK by me... I NEVER squick smut (unless it's badly written which this wasn't).  I don't know what happened. I refuse to be discouraged so easily this time...

I'm off to try Tony/Abby....

I've done strictly one shots(with the exception of 1 story that ended up in 3 parts) up until now. I got a plot bunny that has completely taken over and I'm actually really proud of it, but a one shot would NOT do it any justice.   I'm looking for a bit of advice on setting up a chaptered story.  My 2 concerns are these:

I have what looks to be 6 'sections' to the story that I could do as 6 chapters some short some long, or I could split it to uniform capters (which is what most of the authors I look up to seem to do) is there one particular way that's really better?

If I do go uniform chapters what's a good word range per chapter on a story that will be about 15-18 chapters?

Side Note: I already have a WONDERFUL BETA, but I think I'd like this one to go through more than one set of eyes anyone interested?  My spelling tends to slip when I've really gotten into just putting down what's going through my head, and I'm comma happy.   My briticisms while improving are not always great.  I'm also really going to force myself to stay as canon compliant to HBP as the story allows and that's going to be where I need the most help.

I haven't been on LJ very long, I have to assume that's why I'm friendless.

Also, just as a little side note. My cousin's friend is on my facebook, and he posts all kinds of political stuff... which is fine... but he's in love with the conservative republicans... again fine I suppose... but he's gay. Someone really needs to tell him that these people don't want him on their team, but I don't have the heart.

Edit: Because I'm still a spaz when it comes to HTML.

I also got my application for graduation approved today, and I'm just finishing up my application for National Psychology Honors.  :)  today's been a good day.  Ohh and I've got more of the new fic typed up.

So I finally finished the fic for the exchange where I was pinch hitting.  I've never done the pairing before,  I read up on the pairing what people seemed to like and dislike and tried to keep those things in mind while writing.  It's also new gen which is REALLY weird for me.

It's an anonymous exchange otherwise I would be BEGGING for everyone's opinions.

It's strange because when I've only ever written Dramione.   Has anyone else who's branched out of their OTP ever felt really comfortable and right the first time with a new pairing or is it always a little off?

Dunno, just wondering.

I really do feel bad for her, it's what 12:45 in the morning... and I have her on IM working on last minute edits.   I'm so lucky that she's one of my dearies, and she loves me.     I've also realized that while I never really had a talent with spelling, it gets worse as the sugar rush wears off and the minutes tick by.

So for my loverly [info]mercurialbaby , I adore you in all your grammar naziness, I'm pretty sure my stuff would be a heap of potential lost in a sea of horrid spelling, and misguided flow.

I better go finish what I was supposed to be doing before she cuts my head off. :)

I know it's super early, but I've been stressed by health concerns and school work and trying to think of the fun stuff I'm looking forward to.  The HBP premier isn't until July but I was thinking about it, just wondering if anyone's going costume crazy, or costumish.   I'd LOVE to go in Slytherin uniform, just cause I LIVE for Halloween and playing dress up, but I think I'm a little too old to be dressing up for premiers.  The Team Edward shirt for Twilight was one thing, but I think full on Uniform and school robe may be a lil much. Any opinions?
